Spicy Sliced Pork

Ingredients:
  • 2 lbs. sliced pork sirloin
  • 3 Tbs chili paste
  • 3 Tbs sugar
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (1-inch) piece of ginger, minced
  • 1 Tbs soy sauce
  • 1 Tbs sesame oil
  • Black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped (optional)
Directions:
  1. Combine the sliced pork with chili paste, sugar, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  2. Let marinate for approximately 30 minutes.
  3. Stir-fry the meat until thoroughly cooked, usually about 5 to 7 minutes.
  4. Add black pepper as needed. Garnish with green onion if desired.
Serve with steamed rice.

White Frosting


Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup oleo
  • 1/4 cup Crisco
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Milk--add in small amounts to consistency needed
Covers an 8"x8" cake.
Double recipe for layer cake or 9"x13" cake.

This recipe was given to me by my dad's second cousin, Judy, at my bridal shower. She got it from my grandpa's "favorite cousin," her mother, Marian.
